Ladle refining furnaces is an electric furnace that has the heating and refining functions of steelmaking furnace. 

It is mainly used to further refine the molten steel melted by the primary refining furnace (such as electric arc furnace, open hearth furnace, converter), and can adjust the temperature of the molten steel, playing the role of process buffer to meet the needs of subsequent processes such as continuous casting and continuous rolling.

The LF refining furnace plays the role of a "buffer" in the steelmaking process, balancing the production rhythm between the steelmaking furnace and the continuous casting machine.


The Role of Ladle Refining Furnaces

LRF plays several important roles in the steelmaking process, such as

1. Desulfurization & dephosphorization:

The refining furnace produced by Sanrui, a ladle refining furnace manufacturer, reduces the sulfur and phosphorus content in the molten steel by adding flux and adjusting the temperature, thereby improving the purity and performance of the steel.

2. Alloying:

6. Turbidity control:
