The electrode arm is a device used in electric furnaces (such as submerged arc furnaces or electric arc furnaces, etc.), and its main function is to transfer electrical energy to the arc or charge. It is mainly made of copper-steel composite plates or aluminum-steel composite plates, and its cross-section is rectangular.
The conductive cross arm is cooled by water inside, eliminating the numerous insulation links between the water-cooled conductive copper tube, the electrode chuck and the cross arm, thereby simplifying the structure of the cross arm.
The main function of the conductive cross beam of the electric furnace is to support and clamp the electrode, and conduct the electrical energy from the secondary side short network of the transformer to the furnace through the electrode, generating a strong arc current to heat up the smelted material.

Working principle
1. Current introduction:
The electric furnace conductive cross arms is usually made of conductive materials (such as copper or aluminum). When the power is turned on, the current passes through the conductive cross arm.
2. Current distribution:
The electrode arm of the electric furnace evenly distributes the current to various areas in the furnace to form a stable current path. This is very important to ensure uniform heating and melting of the charge.

The conductive device of the electric furnace is often connected to the electrode, and there is an insulating material between it and the furnace body to prevent leakage and short circuit.

4. Wear resistance & life:
