Cooling Method of Medium Frequency Induction Furnace
The cooling methods of medium frequency induction furnace are mainly divided into water cooling and air cooling, among which water cooling is the most widely used cooling method. Water cooling can be divided into internal circulation cooling and external circulation cooling. Cooling methods include pool cooling, open cooling tower and closed cooling tower.
Cooling Method of Medium Frequency Induction Furnace
Water Cooling:
Internal circulation cooling:
Use pure water to form a closed cycle inside the induction coil, electrode and other components to take away heat.
External circulation cooling:
Through spraying, heat exchange and other methods, the internal circulation cooling water is cooled to reduce the water temperature so that it can be continuously recycled.
Cooling water requirements:
There are requirements for the water quality, pressure and temperature of cooling water. For example, the cooling water system of the induction coil and capacitor usually uses industrial pressure water, the pressure is maintained at 0.15-0.2MPa, the water temperature is maintained between 20-35°C, and the outlet water temperature is lower than 55°C, according to the Hubei Provincial Emergency Management Department.
Air cooling:
Air cooling method: Use air convection to take away heat through fans and other equipment.
Application scenario: Air cooling is mainly used for some medium frequency furnaces with lower power, or as auxiliary cooling for water cooling system.
Others:
Various components of medium frequency induction furnace, such as main control board, thyristor, reactor, induction coil, water-cooled cable, capacitor, etc., will generate heat during operation and need to be cooled.
Some medium frequency furnaces use water-cooled cables and form a cooling system together with induction coils.
Some medium frequency furnace use water pool cooling, and some use open or closed cooling towers.
Internal circulation cooling and external circulation cooling can effectively prevent medium frequency induction furnace coils and other components from being damaged due to overheating.
In summary, there are various cooling methods for medium frequency induction melting furnaces, but water cooling is the most commonly used, and usually a combination of internal circulation and external circulation is used to ensure the safe and stable operation of the equipment.
